Leisure Connection is to re-launch its new-look Harpers fitness gym at the Dorking Sports Centre on the Monday 13th October. This forms part of a new nationwide initiative to re-brand all Harpers gyms to offer customers the same high quality environment to exercise wherever they are in the UK.
The newly refurbished swimming centre features £290,000 worth of
Technogym equipment and is one of the first public access leisure
centres in the UK to have the new Human sport equipment from Star
Trac. The new gym features the latest in gym design and layout to
give its local customers the perfect environment to be more
active.
The new gym is also one of first public access leisure centres in
the country to have a new specially designed boxing zone. New
classes have been designed specifically for the new boxing area for
those members who wish to have a more high impact workout.
Dorking Sport Centre, which is owned by Mole Valley District Council and managed by Leisure Connection, has been designed to a high specification and features 60 new pieces of world leading Technogym equipment and incorporates group activity classes. The centre features NXT spin bikes, regarded as the best design of spin bike in the world and has been designed into 4 distinct areas. There is a new Spin Zone, a cardio vascular zone, a zone for cable machines and a personal training zone to give its local members the perfect environment in which to get fit.
There has also been considerable ongoing investment into
improving the communal areas throughout the leisure centre and
updating the existing colour scheme as well as replacing the
carpets throughout the Harpers gym.
Currently Harpers at the Dorking Sports Centre has 2000 members and
it's hoped that this new look flagship facility will encourage more
people in the local community to visit this centre and enjoy the
benefits of regular exercise.
Kevin Yates, Harpers Brand Manager said: "We are thrilled with the look and feel of the centre. This is one of the first Harpers re-brand we have undertaken as we strive to offer private quality facilities in a public access environment. There isn't another health club in Dorking, which offers these facilities and we are aiming to lead the way in local leisure and fitness provision, not only in Dorking, but across the UK. Leisure Connection is committed to the ongoing roll out of the new Harpers re-fresh and we currently have 10 other refurbishments in the pipeline."
